Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper have recently sparked romance rumors. 

The two were first linked in early October when they were spotted dining together at Via Carota in New York City's West Village and have seemingly grown closer in recent weeks. 

"They are having fun," a source told PEOPLE about the rumored new pair. “It appears super casual now, but they both have kids, big careers, busy lives and understand what life is like in these circles,” the source added. “It’s cute…and there is an attraction.”

Cooper was previously in a relationship with Russian model Irina Shayk, with whom he shares a 6-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine. The pair, who began dating in 2015, broke up two years later but remain friends.

Meanwhile, Hadid was previously in a relationship with Zayn Malik, with whom she shares daughter Khai, 3. She and the One Direction alum split in October 2021 after nearly six years of dating.

August 2023: Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk vacation together

In late August 2023, exes Cooper and Shayk traveled to Italy as a family with their 6-year-old daughter Lea De Seine, but the trip did not appear to be a romantic one.

"The Italy trip with her daughter is fun for everyone," says the insider. "Lea wants them all to travel together. And Irina and Bradley are friendly and get along. They both want to make Lea happy."

The vacation came shortly after news broke that Shayk was dating Tom Brady, with a source telling PEOPLE the former NFL quarterback was her "dream guy."

In early October, the actor and supermodel made headlines as they were spotted exiting celebrity hotspot Via Carota in New York City's West Village neighborhood before getting into the same SUV, as seen in photos shared by the Daily Mail.

Shortly after their dinner outing, the two were spotted in N.Y.C. together again as Hadid rode in the same car as Cooper, with the actor behind the wheel. 

October 9, 2023: A source tells PEOPLE Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper are “having fun” hanging out 

The day after their Big Apple appearance, a source shed more light on the status of their relationship with PEOPLE, noting that they were keeping things casual. 

"They are having fun," the source said of Hadid and Cooper. "She’s independent, busy, and her days are filled with responsibilities so I don’t see anything serious happening right away if at all.”

However, the insider revealed that Hadid has "had sort of a crush on [Cooper] for a while" and might be open to exploring more than friendship with the actor.

“[They have] things in common so it’s possible to see it progress," the source continues. “It appears super casual now, but they both have kids, big careers, busy lives and understand what life is like in these circles. It’s cute…and there is an attraction.”

October 16, 2023: A source tells PEOPLE Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper are taking weekend trips together 

As their relationship evolves, a source told PEOPLE that the pair have been taking weekend getaways together as they continue to get to know each other. 

“Gigi is great. She is getting to know Bradley outside of the city. They take weekend trips together," the source said. "She has fun. She likes that he is a dad, too.”
