Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet fans will be heartbroken to hear the couple have split after almost 5 years of marriage and more than a decade together.
They first met in the early 2000s and married in October 2017 in a low-key ceremony at their home in Topanga, California.
Together, Momoa,42, and Bonet, 54, had two children, a son Nakoa-Wolf and daughter Lola. Momoa also became the stepfather to Zoe Kravitz, Bonet's daughter with her ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.
In a joint statement posted on Momoa's Instagram, the couple shared they were "parting ways in marriage."
Since their relationship began, Momoa and Bonet have been one of Hollywood's favorite couples. Newsweek takes a look back at their relationship timeline in the wake of their split.

2004/2005
Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa began dating in 2005, after being introduced through mutual friends at a Los Angeles Club.
Speaking to Net-A-Porter in 2018, Bonet shared they had "been together" ever since. She shared: "I can't say it was full-on from the moment we saw each other, but we have been together from the day that we met."
In a separate interview with Esquire in 2019, Momoa revealed he had a huge crush on Monet as a child. In the 1980s, Momoa would watch Bonet as Denise Huxtable in the U.S. sitcom The Cosby Show.
He joked: "I mean, I didn't tell her that. I didn't let her know I was a stalker until after we had the kids. If someone says something isn't possible, I'm like, 'Listen here, I married Lisa Bonet. Anything is f–king possible.'"
2007
Bonet gave birth to their daughter Lola in July 2007.
2008
Bonet gave birth to their son Nakoa-Wolf in December 2008.
Reflecting on fatherhood in an interview with Men's Health in December 2016, Momoa said: "I really can't tell you what the hell I was doing before I had kids.
"Just f**king off. Wasting time. I think I was pretty reckless and definitely a bit out of control. Now I'm more focused. I probably love myself more and take care of myself more because I want to stick around."
2014
Bonet and Momoa starred in the 2014 thriller Road to Paloma together which was also written and directed by Momoa.
In the film, Momoa stars as a native American who is on the run from the police after killing his mother's rapists. Bonet played the role of his love interest.
They also starred alongside one another in Sundance's TV series The Red Road. Momoa played the role of Phillip Kopus and Bonet starred as lawyer Sky Van Der Veen. The show was canceled after two seasons and is available to stream via Netflix now.
Speaking to Collider about working with Bonet, Momoa said: "It's an honor. In this business, we have to travel so far away from our families. We have two children, so if we can work together, that's awesome."
2018
Bonet, Momoa, and their two children Nakoa-Wolf and Lola attended the red carpet of the LA Premiere of Momoa's latest film Aquaman.
At the premiere, Momoa and Bonet were seen looking happier than ever, showing off some serious PDA.
2019
February
In February 2019, Momoa and Bonet attended the Oscars in coordinated outfits.
Designed by Karl Lagerfeld for Fendi, Momoa wore a pale pink suit and Bonet glowed in a pale pink netted dress embroidered with flowers.
April
Momoa and Bonet attended the premiere of the final season of Game of Thrones.
Bonet wore a long black dress with bright patterns and Momoa wore all black with a pale pink jacket, a nod to his Oscars 2019 look.
2020
February
The loved-up couple starred in a Rocket Mortgage commercial that aired during the 2020 Superbowl.
In the clip, Momoa is seen shedding his muscles and head of hair and becoming a much skinnier version of himself. Bonet appears at the end of the commercial, helping her husband during his workout session to lift a very lightweight.
August
In a video posted to his YouTube channel, Momoa surprised his wife by restoring her 1965 Ford Mustang, the first car she bought when she was 17-years-old.
In the clip, he gushed: "To be in this passenger's seat with my wife here and surprise her and our babies in the back, riding in her first car from when she was 17? I'm excited to see her face."
Surprised with the big reveal, Bonet said: "That's beautiful! Holy cow. That is gorgeous. Not too flashy, but just enough."
2022
In January 2022, Momoa and Bonet announced they were ending their marriage.
Momoa penned alongside a slideshow of images of a red sky, baby birds, and trees: "We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times...A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception... feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring
