Britney Spears’ strained relationship with her family has been apparent through her social media posts ever since the singer was released from her conservatorship in November.

After hearing her side of the story, Spears’ younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears appeared on “Good Morning America” to share her perspective on the whole situation, per CNN.

She started off by saying how “happy” she was to see the conservatorship get dissolved for her sister and then went on to give her perspective as the younger sister.

  • “First of all, when it was put into place I was 17-years-old, I was about to have a baby, so I didn’t understand what was happening, nor was I focused on that. I was focused on the fact that I was a 17-year-old about to have a baby. I understand just as little about it then as I do now,” said the mom of two.
  • When it came to Britney’s estate and whether Jamie benefitted from it, she said, “there was no, like, me overseeing funds or something like that, and if that was it was a misunderstanding, but either way, I took no steps to be a part of it.”

But the most surprising claim, according to She Knows, was that she offered her big sister resources to help get out of the conservatorship.

  • “I’ve always been my sister’s biggest supporter, so when she needed help I set up ways to do so, went out of my way to make sure that she had the contacts she needed to possibly go ahead and end this conservatorship,” Jamie alleged.
  • She added that she had a lot of love for Britney, “So I don’t know why we’re in this position right now,” said Jamie.
