In the time since Noelle Robinson went public with her relationship with girlfriend Alexis Powell, The Real Housewives of Atlanta daughter has never felt more open with the world. Noelle and Alexis confirmed their relationship back in the spring, several months after she came out as sexually fluid during Season 12 of RHOA.
"I did go public with my relationship for the first time ever. And like I said, I’m usually the type of person to keep things private with anyone I’m dealing with romantically. Especially in this situation. Because honestly, this is the best relationship I’ve ever been in, the most healthy relationship and the most happy, and the happiest I’ve been while dating someone. And so, my natural instinct was to just kind of keep it from the world," Cynthia Bailey's daughter told The Daily Dish in a recent phone interview.
Noelle ultimately went Instagram official this year because she wanted the world — and her girlfriend — to know she has nothing to hide.
"Going public with my relationship has actually improved the already great dynamic that we have. I’m super, super, super happy that I decided to do that. We’re both definitely a lot happier because now we can do normal stuff," she said. "It just feels good. She doesn’t feel like I’m trying to hide her or anything like that. And, you know, a lot of times when people try to hide people they think, 'Oh, is she cheating?' But the thing is I’m so loyal, but it was just a whole bunch of other reasons. So it just feels good to be able to just be myself. It’s really the best feeling ever."
Noelle shared that she and Alexis have been in each others' lives and "romantically involved" since August 2018.
"I’ve definitely been dealing with her for a minute. So, it’s definitely not a new situation," Noelle said. "I just am kind of wary about stuff. So, I really wouldn’t put anything on social media unless I kind of knew that to a certain degree it was solid. So we’ve definitely been dealing with each other. My family has already known her like this... none of this stuff is really new. But I think because it just came to light in the public eye, people think that it just happened. So they’re like, 'Oh, like this will be over by tomorrow.' And I’m like we’ve literally been dealing with each other for over two years [laughs]."

Noelle then explained why she knew she wanted to have Alexis in her life.
"It’s just really so many things because we’ve just had such a long journey. Ultimately she is the person that really pushes me to come out of my comfort zone. And I think people that I was dating or interested in dating in the past were kind of not, I’m not gonna say like yes men, but they didn’t really challenge me. They just didn’t really push me out of my comfort zones in any real capacity."
Noelle is an only child who grew up with two parents in the public eye (Cynthia, of course, as well as her actor dad, Leon Robinson). And she noted that it's the fact that she and Alexis grew up in different ways that bonds them.
"It’s so crazy because we come from two different lifestyles completely. But it’s like we really balance each other out. She shows me so many things that I didn’t really know and vice versa. Even as simple as my childhood was kind of different from her childhood in terms of she has a lot of siblings, I don’t. I didn’t even know how to play Uno. Like, she taught me how to play Uno. She teaches me so much, so many things that I kind of like missed out on or just didn’t learn. And vice versa."
Noelle continued, "I teach her like the other side of things. Now she cares about interior design and furniture and stuff, and she never cared [laughs] about that stuff, so. We definitely balance each other out. "

Cynthia Bailey on the Response to Daughter Noelle Coming Out as Fluid
Alexis has been a great support system for Noelle. In fact, she's helped her grow in many ways.
"She’s the first person that she’s not gonna say 'yes' and just agree with me because she just wants to be with me or whatever. She’s gonna tell me, 'You’re doing something wrong. These are the areas you need to work on,' and she has even helped me even strengthen my relationship with my mom," Noelle shared. "If there’s something that she notices that I’m doing with my mom, she’s like, 'Maybe you should try to do it this way because it seems like you guys will connect more and she’ll understand more.' She just is really invested in me as a person. In anything that I want to do, she’ll 100 percent help me and support me. And she’s really honestly like the only person I can say that I’ve dated that has really done that for me."
And the includes serving as a support system to Noelle as she pursues a career in show business.
"Even behind the scenes, I do some influencing on my Instagram, she takes all my pictures. She helps me with my YouTube. She’s actually motivated me to start a YouTube. She just really motivates me and is making sure that I’m always on top of everything that I need to be doing," Noelle said. "And that’s just something I’ve never had before. And this is the first time I’ve had a situation where I also have a friendship with the person."
