Gerry and Theresa go on their first date and definitely bond—especially after Gerry had a kinda scary driving experience getting there.
They then get to know each other throughout the rest of the month, though Gerry is obviously getting to know several other women at the same time. And then.....
August 23, 2023 Hits....
And Theresa has her Hometown Date with Gerry, which is super successful:
According to Reality Steve, Gerry had Hometown Dates on August 19, 21, and 23, meaning he'd been on two others by the time he met Theresa's family.

This is when Reality Steve reported that Fantasy Suites were taking place! And Theresa and Gerry fully leveled up their bond:
This is presumably also the week that Gerry proposed—meaning he and Theresa have been engaged since the beginning of September and have been secretly together for about three months!
September - November 2023
The Golden Bachelor airs, and Gerry and Theresa *do* meet a few times in secret. In fact, Gerry tells ABC (without naming names) that they spent time together in a Manhattan hotel suite:
"I remember we were talking about our favorite songs, and we danced in the kitchen, and we cooked together, and we kept thinking we should sit down and watch a little TV; and conversation just kept going and kept going, and we didn't have much time for that, and it was really a fantastic weekend."

Gerry and Theresa go public with their relationship when The Golden Bachelor airs its finale. Fans see Gerry's proposal, where he says, "Theresa, I love you 1,000 percent. I'm not ever going to stop believing that every day, I choose you."
Most importantly, these two revealed they are planning to get married on air (!!) in a televised ceremony on...wait for it...January 4, 2024! And then ABC is sending them on a honeymoon to Italy.
"We're going to get married, we're going to do it as quickly as we can, because at our age we don't have a lot of time to waste," Gerry explained.
