Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel is preaching more than just football to his team.
During the latest installment of FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” show, Miami wideout Braxton Berrios — who’s dating TikTok star Alix Earle — explained the unexpected love advice he got from McDaniel.
It all started when host Kay Adams asked “how much real estate” Earle has on the team.
“Coach McDaniel loves to chirp and loves to chirp me, and love to chirp me about that,” Berrios said with a smirk.
“There is some real estate at least in his mind to throw around whenever he wants of that. … I will say, there is not a play call.”
When asked if McDaniel has given him love advice, Berrios recalled an encounter he had with the coach earlier that same day.
“Not much advice. I mean, today he told me, ‘Get married, everything gets better,'” Berrios said.
“So I guess that is a little bit of advice. Randomly. Not even in context.”
That’s when Adams became excited and asked Berrios if he’s “gonna marry this girl?”
The 28-year-old stumbled over his words and waved his hand.
“Stop. … No, no, no,” he said, laughing.
“You asked if he gives advice. He gives advice.”
Adams then explained why she’s “invested” in Berrios’ relationship with Earle.
“By the way everyone, I told Braxton I wasn’t even going to ask about it and you said she’s wonderful and now I’m invested. — You’re happy,” she said, to which Berrios agreed.
“I am, I am.”
Berrios praised Earle for how she juggles life outside her as a social media influencer.
“She does a great job with doing her work and then putting the phone down and sign everything else. Then when she picks up the phone I completely understand its work.
“It’s never been an issue, it doesn’t bother me.”
Berrios added that it’s “never boring” dating 22-year-old Earle.
“Honestly, to me, I met her, I understood, learned what she did and you understand that this is how she makes her money. This is her career. This is what she loves to do,” he said.
“And so, to me it never gets old and it never gets boring. Honestly it’s fun. I enjoy it.
“Anything that she can do to help me out, she does, and anything I can do to help her out, I do as well.”
Earle — who has 6.2 million followers on TikTok and 3.3 million Instagram followers — was named to Forbes’ 2024 30 Under 30 list.
The 22-year-old New Jersey native, who rose to social media fame through her “get ready with me” videos on TikTok, made $5 million in one year, according to Forbes.
