Many people enjoyed watching Brigette Lundy-Paine’s character, Casey, on the hit Netflix original series, Atypical. It was exciting to see Casey’s relationship with her brother, Sam, and how it developed over four seasons of Atypical. The dynamic between the two was different than most sibling relationships.
At times, Casey would act as if she’s the older sibling when in fact, Sam was. However, as the show progresses through the seasons, Casey becomes a little less protective and more lenient and understanding of Sam.
What many fans liked about their relationship was that even though Sam was on the autism spectrum, Casey never treated him differently. She still acted like an annoying little sister. She just made sure that no one else would mess with him. Sounds a lot like my brother and I!
But what made Lundy-Paine‘s character become such a fan favorite, was the relationship between Casey and Izzie (Fivel Stewart). Fans loved their relationship so much that they started shipping the actors in real life.
Is Brigette Lundy-Paine dating Fivel Stewart?
Look, I can’t even lie and say that I wasn’t shipping them as well. Their on-screen chemistry was just so intense at times! I think what helped build their strong chemistry that we see on-screen, is their relationship in real life. And when I say “relationship,” I mean their friendship. Sorry guys, they are not together.
According to Fivel’s instagram, she hasn’t uploaded a picture specifically saying that she’s dating anyone, but after putting on my Inspector Gadget outfit and doing some deep searching in her comments, it looks like she’s dating fellow actor, Andrew Kai. So that ship has sailed.
Does Brigette Lundy-Paine have a significant other?
So this is a tricky question to answer because Lundy-Paine isn’t active on social media any more which makes it harder to get a look into their love life. According to reports, they once were engaged to actor, Joshua Hoover. They haven’t spoken publicly on if they’re still together.
When Lundy-Paine was active on social media, they’d rarely post photos of themselves and there was only one photo of them with their ex-fiance. That photo has since been deleted. So, yeah, my guess is that they’re single.
If they decide to come back to social media or update us on their relationship status in an interview, I’ll be sure to let you guys know! For now, let’s rewatch the last season of Atypical and cry our eyes out for the hundredth time.
