Days after Lal Chand Kataruchak, Cabinet minister in the AAP-led Mann Government, was accused of sexual misconduct, the alleged victim Friday came on camera and said that he has been subjected to sexual misconduct from 2013 to 2014, when he was very young, and it continued till 2021.
He confirmed that it was he who was shown in the video that was handed over to Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit by Congress leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira.
In the video, he alleged that Kataruchak had approached him by sending a friend request on Facebook in 2013-14. When he accepted it, Kataruchak allegedly started making advances towards him. The alleged victim said he belongs to Pathankot.
The person in the video said that Kataruchak had asked him to have a relationship with him. But he was too young at that time to understand anything. He said that Kataruchak later called him to Gurdaspur and took him to his office for his “sexual excesses.”
Also, he said that the last time he met Kataruchak was on Diwali in 2021. “He then promised me a government job stating that he would become an MLA soon. After that he did not meet me and asked me not to approach him,” the victims said.
The alleged victim said that he was on the run now fearing the minister would harm him or his family.
A part of the video has been tweeted by BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

Khaira submitted a complaint against the minister to the Governor a few days ago and handed him two videos. The Governor, while acting on the complaint, asked the Chandigarh DGP to look into the complaint and do a forensic examination. The report is awaited.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, however, stood by the minister and said that he had not seen the videos. At the same time, CM Mann slammed the Opposition and said that Khaira and other politicians were upset due to the popularity of his government and were always looking for reasons to show it down.
